I thought these were good enough reasons for me to upgrade my old headset, so I purchased them.
My first impression was very good considering the way the package looks. Usually when I open the box of something new that I have just purchased I am extremely careful with it. I did the same with this set, but it turns out I could have torn the box apart since they are incredibly robust.
I have read that they are made of steel and they have metal shields, as well as a steelflex headband. However, I did not imagine that they are indeed as resistant as they seem to be.
The V-MODA Crossfade M-80 comes with some great accessories: a 3 Button SpeakEasy mic cable and a 1 Button SpeakEasy mic cable. I have tested the one with 3 buttons, which is compatible with the Apple devices.
I have an iPod from Apple and I must say they are perfect together. I have chosen a random song and it happened to be a tune with a lot of bass parts. I think that was the first time when I have heard most of the sounds from it.
The quality of the sound is exceptional. Even if you compare these with the most expensive and praised headphones from the market, I do not think you can find big differences between them. I did not make a call yet, so I have not tested the cable with 1 button.
Another aspect I really appreciate about this new model is the fact that you can customize and change the metal shields. That is just great if you like to own unique accessories.
About the Manufacturer: V-MODA
V-MODA is the trademark of an individual who has created various models of headphones. His name is Val Kolton and his idea was to combine fashion with music and technology. His passion and love for music and technology plus Joseph Bucknall’s designs have resulted in unique on-ear and in-ear headphone sets. 2004 was the year when this collaboration has started and when the need of high-quality sounds and fashionable headsets has begun to gain more importance. In our days V-MODA is considered a renowned brand that sells professional gears for low price ranges.

Virtually indestructible – The steelflex headband, bullet resistant conduit, the steel frame and the metal shields are built to last.
Comfortable and customizable design – The headband is constructed ergonomically and the Bliss memory foam cushions take the form of your ears. The metal shields can be ordered in different colors and you can even engrave a logo of your choice on them.
Light and small – You can wear these headphones all day long without feeling them. Also, they are 50 percent smaller than other generations of headphones from V-MODA.
Impeccable sound – Any type of music sounds like you are near the singer. Great 3D sound stage and precise bass and mid sounds.
Noise isolation – With the supra-aural headphones you can isolate yourself from the outside noise.
Cushions and headband are stiff – At first the cushions and the headband must warm up from the temperature of your body and shape accordingly after a few hours of use.
V-MODA Crossfade M-80 On-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphones set is the best purchase I have made in years. I am an audiophile and I found everything I needed in these light-weighted and unique headphones. The sound quality only can make this product a winner.
It is the only accessory I need regardless which device I use for listening my favorite tunes and for making some of my own tunes from time to time.
